Many students find that SAT test prep can be challenging and quite stressful. A big mistake that students make is not having properly prepared. The more you prepare, the better you will score. You need to set specific goals for yourself and have the determination and self discipline to stick with it.

1. Assemble the necessary materials.

Find out the available testing dates and locations. Make sure you know the proper procedure for registration. Read everything that is given to you when registering. These documents often contain valuable information that you will need to know when test day arrives. Get a SAT prep book, a calculator and a notebook. Writing things down will help you memorize it. Repeat things over and over in your mind, make up your own flashcards, or be consistent in whichever method works best for you.

2. Find your strengths and weaknesses.

5. Calculate your expenses.

Taking the test can be expensive, however the good news is that there are websites that offer some valuable resources for free. If you are on a tight budget, look for used copies or older versions of an SAT test preparation book. These can even be found at a used book store.

6. Use the internet to look for ways to practice SATS online.

Sometimes we forget that information is readily available at our fingertips through the use of the internet. There are several resources you can check out online which will allow you to practice for your exam and help you to discover better methods of learning and study. There are several online resources which will help you to score better on your test. Simply do a Google search to find the top resources.
